Size: Small approx. 2 1/2" size of clip: 60mm / 2 1/4" Good barrette for use in fine hair, children's hair, or to pull back  a section of fine hair.

White Ash- (Frazinus americana) White ash has a bright almost white coloring with occasional creamy white accents. It's a very strong and durable wood. So strong in fact that it is the only wood used to make major league baseball bats. It is also used in fine furniture making and frequently in archery bows as well.

We've been making wood barrettes for over 20 years. Our wooden barrettes are all made from SOLID wood.  **Never a thin layer of veneer over a cheaper base wood**
They are screwed not glued to the made in France clips for a strong, durable, mess free joint.

Barrette clips vary quite a bit in quality. I use only the highest quality French Barrette Clips on all my barrettes. They have proven themselves over time to be the best available.

We are a zero waste shop: furniture cutoffs become jewelry boxes, jewelry box cut offs become hair pins and barrettes and the smallest pieces become jewelry. We've even had our sawdust used in kiln firings. Silver scrap is recycled too.
