Handcrafted Large wooden hair barrette in mahogany wood.

Mahogany - (Honduras, Africa) mahogany has been used in fine furniture making and ship building for centuries and is famous for it's rich red color. I have some premium quality mahogany boards left over from my boat building days.

Large approx. 3 3/4" size of clip: 80mm / 3 1/4" The most commonly used barrette size. Will work well for most hair types. Photo is example of wood barrette in a specific wood type. Each wooden barrette is individually handmade and may have some slight variations in appearance.

I've been making wood hair barrettes for over 20 years. My barrettes are all made from SOLID wood.
**Never a thin layer of veneer over a cheaper base wood**
They are screwed not glued to the made in France clips for a strong, durable, mess free joint.

Barrette clips vary quite a bit in quality. I use only the highest quality French Barrette Clips on all my barrettes. They have proven themselves over time to be the best available.
